Two Category Managers – Electronics and Electrical Engineering for one of Denmark’s leading subcontractors to the electronic industry.

Electronic procurement is a significant function within BB Electronics A/S. With reference to the Supply Chain Director, it will be your responsibility to identify, develop and evaluate subcontractors.

BB electronics manufactures products for companies in a wide range of industries, such as industry, telecommunications, IT, medical technology, transportation and a number of specialist industries. BB electronics employs approximately 700 employees, has its administrative head office in Horsens and its production facilities in Horsens and China.  

 

 

The Job

• It requires a technical and commercial insight from the best Category Managers in the world to run BB Electronics’ product lines for electronic components, PCB, cables, electrical engineering, etc. With reference to the Supply Chain Director, it is your responsibility to identify, develop and evaluate the subcontractors who are situated all over the world.
• You have to work closely with the subcontractors ensuring that BB electronics A/S meets all KPIs for sourcing to customers, including ensuring quality in all stages of the supply chain, choice of materials, that all agreements are up-to-date in relation to products/components, suppliers, prices and delivery times for both China and Eastern Europe.
• Examine and analyse the market for alternative suppliers and components.
• You have to prepare, follow up on and renegotiate contracts and framework agreements, and ensure that the data basis is correct.
• 60-80 days of travel are expected each year – both in Europe and worldwide. 

 

Your Profile

• You understand the focus on daily operational tasks that is prevalent in a subcontractor company.
• You have a relevant technical education as an electronics engineer/electrical engineer – preferably with a commercial continuing education.
• As a minimum, you have 5-10 years of experience with international procurement of electronics, negotiation, including the legal terms for international contracts.
• You can document top results.
• You have a solid logistics and business understanding, and you are known for good business acumen.
• As a person you are analytical and results oriented
• You are strongly process oriented and you reach your results through solid planning.
• You have experience with project management and you focus on execution
• You are a skilled communicator and you focus on a form of cooperation which over time creates strong relations internally and externally
• You master English at a negotiation level both in writing and in speech
