Software Architect for Migatronic R&D in Fjerritslev, Denmark

The Job - tasks and responsibilities

Joining the Research and Development Department, you will be setting the direction as a part of a team developing software for Migatronic’s welding machines. The team is responsible for securing the quality of the software, covering both the development of new functionality as well as maintenance software for existing products. The R&D Department works with the agile framework, Scrum.

Your primary tasks will be:

  • Software architecture
  • Software strategy and architecture for an embedded distributed system
  • Structure and design – layering of software
  • Technology
  • Contribute with software insight in technology projects
  • Participate in the definition of product and technology projects

This job position is expected to be at Migatronic’s office in Fjerritslev with a start date as soon as possible.

Professional Qualification

You have an M.Sc. in Engineering, a B.Sc. in Engineering, or a similar degree, combined with a passion for software strategy, architecture, and development. Specifically, you have sound knowledge and/or experience with the following competencies:

  • Responsibility for looking ahead, and define and drive:
    • Software strategy and structure, toolchain, quality of code, software testing strategy, and intelligent solutions for software concepts
    • Software architecture based on system requirement analysis
    • Analysis and budgeting of resources in an embedded system (memory, execution times, MIPS, etc.)
  • Software development tools and version management systems:
    • Bitbucket, SourceTree, Jenkins, Git
    • Static code analysis
    • Coding standards, guidelines, and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of embedded microcontroller systems
  • Continuous software integration

To hold this position, you must be able to speak and write English and Danish fluently.
