Commercial Development Manager - Waste Recycling

Metso Waste Recycling, headquartered in Horsens and employing about 100 employees, produces waste shredders for incineration and recycling plants worldwide. The job

As Commercial Development Manager you will be a member of the extended Waste Recycling Management Team. You are responsible for the overall and global commercial development activities for waste recycling globally, including team management and your own commercial development activities.

To succeed in the job it is required, that you possess profound experience within driving, coordinating and completion of complex commercial development tasks, including setting deadlines, driving market intelligence, taking ownership of marketing strategy and tactics and implementing change as well as assigning responsibilities. In addition, the job involves:

  • Recruiting, training, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Aligning the global commercial development activities and priorities to foster an environment where waste recycling can grow faster than the market.
  • Meeting customer expectations and internal KPIs.
  • Participating in strategy development, budgeting and similar management duties.
  • Managing relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including collecting, measuring and reporting progress and compliance to ensure delivery of the team’s assigned targets.
  • Building and maintaining the structure for a strong network of global partners.

The position is based in Horsens and you should expect around 70-80 travel days per year.

Your profile

It is expected that you have a commercial degree with an in-depth technical understanding, or a technical degree with an in-depth commercial understanding. Additionally, it is required that you have several years of experience in technical B2B development in an international context. You demonstrate highly effective communication skills and you are also proficient with IT, particularly MS Office and CRM tools. You are fluent in both written and verbal English. Further languages are considered a plus.

Furthermore, you hold strong knowledge in implementing changes and adaptions to changing market needs and you are able to work through partners, distributors and agents.

As a person, you possess the necessary capabilities to lead and navigate a commercial development team. Besides being an excellent people manager, you ensure strong and efficient performance of your team and guarantee high-quality leadership, deliverables and professionalism.
