As Segment Director with reference to the Managing Director, you are responsible for the strategic, tactical and operational sales of DESMI Pumping Technology's Marine & Offshore market pump program worldwide. The Marine & Offshore segment in DESMI comprises +40 employees, and the segment is matrix organized with both indirect and direct reference.
Your primary responsibility is to further develop the Marine & Offshore market worldwide through structured and sustained sales and marketing efforts in cooperation with DESMI's subsidiaries including regional sellers as well as intensive sparring with DESMI's distributors. There is an increasing sale of applications with increasing complexity.
You are responsible for the development and follow-up of KPI’s, while also taking responsibility for your own customers and participating in conferences and fairs worldwide.
You must calculate +70 travel days per year.
You are a Mechanical Engineer, Engineer or similar and have a commercial education, for example HD-A or MBA. You have documented experience from a similar international position ideally from the marine/offshore sector. Your background means that you have a high technical understanding and broad industry knowledge and have experience with solution sales with a significantly increasing complexity.
You are currently working with Sales Management and therefore have documented results within market processing through thorough ambitious goals, communicated action plans, follow-up, adjustment and coaching – in short, you have proven that high productivity increases revenue.
You are distinctly business oriented and your approach to the tasks is strategic and tactical, while you work naturally in close collaboration with sales managers and sales people at the customers.
As a person, you are dynamic, enterprising, systematic and optimistic. You see opportunities rather than limitations, take responsibility and lead the way when needed.
You work independently and persistently, so you finish your tasks on time.
You are of course fluent in both verbally and in writing English.
