Operational Excellence Manager

Are you ambitious about using your sharp mind and analytical toolbox to make a difference for Bellagroup and the Venue business? You will play a key role in defining and driving the overall optimization and excellence agenda while setting the direction for how Bellagroup delivers on its congresses, conferences, exhibitions, and shows in the future.

Bellagroup is in the process of building a new and stronger operating model. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business to improve the overall customer journey with a keen eye on effectiveness and efficiency.

As Operational Excellence Manager in a newly established Venue Excellence Center, you will support the development and execution of the overall Bellagroup Venue optimization agenda. You will secure planning, structuring, and execution of operational improvement initiatives across the Venue business, as well as drive problem-solving to help optimize the way they work and deliver events.

Some of your tasks involve that you:

  • Support the formulation and help drive the overall strategy and focus toward optimization of the operations, and help drive consistency and continuous improvements in workflow, processes, and systems across commercial, planning, and operations departments.
  • Support or lead a varied range of high-impact strategic and operational projects across the Venue business to ensure execution and results delivery.
  • Define and roll out best practices and new initiatives with the aim of harmonizing the product and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with business leaders across the organization to identify, quantify, and address business improvement opportunities, as well as digitalization efforts that can help improve the business.

Your daily work will be at the office in Copenhagen.


This position requires an educational level of master’s degree and 3-5 years of experience from an operational excellence role or a similar function working with process improvements, and a demonstrated ability to implement and lead commercial and operational projects with impact.

You support this with the following professional experience and personal traits:

  • Maturity, mental flexibility, and likeability to collaborate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders – from commercial people to finance, and from top management to middle managers and operational people.
  • Good change management skills.
  • Well-developed toolbox regarding presentations, operating model development, workflow optimization, and project management with the ability to plan, develop, and lead projects.
  • Genuine curiosity and professional integrity to not settle for less than truly solving strategic issues identified.

You have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with data and create clear insights that can be presented to the organization. You are a team player who thrives in and contributes to the social and collegial environment in the team. 

You are fluent in Danish and English in speech and writing.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Venue Excellence Center. You will be based in the Headquarter office, which is located in the International House at Bella Center.
