As a Controls Engineer at Körber Supply Chain, you will ensure system functionality and performance by implementing controls that meet contractual obligations. You will support project managers in minimizing project risks and executing projects within budget. The role also involves assisting Project Managers and System Integration Managers with integration tasks for the overall material handling system and providing technical support to the organization. Your contributions will ensure all required functions are tested and accepted by the customer. The role involves leading PLC Engineering tasks, including preparation, commissioning, documentation, and acceptance procedures as detailed in RIQO. You will conduct in-house iFAT testing and perform on-site work related to controls, such as I/O testing, Profinet setup, and function control. Additionally, you will document all controls-related tasks with precision and clarity, ensuring that the system’s functionality and performance align with the agreed specifications. Furthermore, you will obtain formal customer approval for functional and test specifications, as well as for the overall acceptance reports. As a superuser of Siemens software, including safety programming, you have extensive knowledge of drives such as frequency and servo drives. You are experienced in setting up networks, including Profinet and AS-i, and proficient in PLC programming languages like Ladder and SCL. Your expertise extends to barcode readers, light grids, and distributed networks, along with a strong familiarity with WCS and TCP/IP socket connections. The performance indicators are: The position will require close collaboration with the Head of Department, Project Managers & System Integration Managers, other departments within Project Execution, Customer Services & R&D Teams, and direct communication with Customers to ensure the successful implementation of control systems. You may have a background as an electrician, marine engineer, or an engineer specializing in electrical systems, control, software, or an equivalent field. You should have proficiency in Siemens and Rockwell programs (preferably at a super-user level) and the ability to work with peripheral devices and equipment. As well as a strong understanding of drives (frequency and servo drives), barcode readers, and light grids is required, as well as familiarity with WCS (TCP/IP socket connections). The candidate should demonstrate leadership and mentoring abilities, with the capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong verbal and written communication skills at various levels are essential, along with proficiency in English (Danish preferred). You should possess excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as a structured and systematic approach to troubleshooting. Additionally, a willingness to travel (approximately 100-120 days per year) is required to support on-site implementation and integration activities – the whole world becomes your office, and countless experiences are waiting for you.
